How I became a Sales Consultant…

My sister once said that I could sell ice to Eskimos.

I didn’t understand what she meant at the time, but as it happens, I naturally fell into selling.
I’ve been in sales for over 30 years. I love it. By that, I mean, I love building the relationships that build sales.

Corporate Days…

I’ve worked in various sales roles, up to Director level, for different companies including BBC Magazines and Hearst UK.

I’ve won awards for my sales ability; for growing business year on year, for smashing targets and for delivering engaging advertising campaigns. I’ve been recognised for working collaboratively with different stakeholders all with the same end goal – increased sales.

The birth of something new…

I left that career, and London, in 2013 to follow a different dream. I moved to County Durham and became a stay at home mum.

I love my children dearly (even more than selling) but I soon realised that I needed to work. But I wanted to work on my terms and really make a difference.

So, I set up Moira Barnes Sales Consultancy! And here I am, putting my experience and passion to good use. Helping small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) tap into my sales expertise. (And loving every minute.)
